Search giant Google is adding the Google Meet video conference service with a big feature update.
Google Meet has introduced a zoom-like tiled interface and enhanced integration with Gmail as the number of video conferences and video calls increases during quarantine coronavirus.
The tiled interface lets web users see up to 16 at once. That number was previously limited to four and Google promises it will provide additional templates for larger meetings and improved presentation templates, as well as potential support for more apps.
So let us see on the other new features rolled out in Google Meet;
- If you frequently meet in the dark, low-light mode, using AI to brighten up your video. Like some of the other apps, this one comes first with the smartphone and in the future will be coming to web users.
- Meeting presenters will now be given the option of simply displaying a single Chrome tab instead of showing their entire computer screen during a conference. This feature should support presenters looking to share a high-quality video that was always an unpredictable experience.
- Google Meet will soon come with Noise Cancellation support in order to reduce ambient background noise in our home.
With the new updates, Google will try to compete toughly with apps like Zoom Cloud Meetings that have gained huge popularity amid the coronavirus pandemic.
