Tech giant Google has finally unveiled the much-anticipated Pixel 4a smartphone. Google introduced the new Pixel phone on Monday as its next affordable device after Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL from last year. The launch of the Pixel 4a India is scheduled for October.
The organization was originally expected to announce the upcoming Google I / O 2020 smartphone, but was postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak.
The all-new affordable Pixel 4a is available in the US, priced at $349, and is packed up a lot of high-end features. For example, Pixel 4a comes with a 5.8-inch OLED display in Only Black and has a matte finish that feels smooth and comfortable in your pocket. This contains the mint color pop power button in Pixel ‘s signature.
The phone is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 G SoC, coupled with 6 GB LPDDR4x RAM. It is fitted with a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The rear camera supports HDR+ with dual exposure controls, Portrait mode, Top Shot, Night Sight with capabilities for astrophotography and fused video stabilization.
This has a full-HD+ 5.81-inch (1.080×2.340 pixels) OLED display providing an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The monitor comes in a punch hole design which has a space for a single selfie camera. It’s also an always-on camera-much as previous Pixel phones do.
Google Pixel 4a comes with the Recorder software that offers transcriptions in real time. It also has a Live Caption feature that allows to caption videos and audio content in real time. These can also complement voice and video calls with captions.
Google Pixel 4a will most likely be made available through Flipkart in India. The two versions are expected to be made available for Rs 26,100 and Rs 37,500, respectively, although a price tag for India is yet to be revealed.
There is also a Google Pixel 4a (5G) variant with a larger display size and a Pixel 5. The company will, however, not bring its new 5G-enabled Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a (5G) to India and Singapore markets.
