South Korean company, Samsung revealed they shipped more than 6.7 million 5G phones in 2019. It accounted for approximately 53.9 percent of the November 2019 global 5G smartphone market.
Samsung currently offers five Galaxy 5G devices to its customers worldwide, including the Galaxy S10 5 G, Note10 5G and Note10+ 5G, and recently launched Galaxy A90 5G and Galaxy Fold 5G.
“Consumers can not wait to experience 5G and we are proud to offer a diverse portfolio of devices that deliver the best 5G experience possible. For Samsung, 2020 will be the year of Galaxy 5G and we are excited to bring 5G to even more device categories and introduce people to mobile experiences they never thought possible,” TM Roh, President and Head of Research and Development at IT and mobile communications division, Samsung Electronics quoted.
With Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865 chipset, the company expects to offer more 5G phones in the coming year. The company also said that Galaxy Tab S6 5G is expected to be available in Korea in the first quarter of 2020.
The Galaxy Tab S6 5G will be the world’s first 5G tablet with ultra-fast speeds combined with Galaxy Tab Series 3 power and performance.
The new Galaxy Tab S6 5G will offer high-quality video conferencing, premium display to watch live and pre-recorded video streams or play cloud and online games with friends, according to the sources.
