How to Schedule An Email in Gmail?

Google has promised that Gmail will start supporting email scheduling from April 2019, but that didn’t happen. The feature was live from May on desktop and mobile platform.

So, no longer user have to use any 3rd party application and can start using the Gmail new email schedule which is simple when compared to the steps used in the 3rd party application.

This feature will mainly be helpful if you are looking to email someone on a different time zone or to yourself as a reminder for any task.

Schedule Email via Gmail Desktop Browser

  • Login to your Gmail account and Compose a new email.
  • Now, instead of clicking the Send option, kindly click the Triangle option as shown in the below screenshot.

  • Then select one of the Suggested Times or Click Pick Date & Time to customize when exactly you want the message to be sent and click Schedule Send.

  • Open Gmail Application on your Smartphone and compose a new email.
  • Now click on click the three dots in the top right-hand corner of the screen (Next to the Send Symbol).
  • Then select one of the Suggested Times or Click Pick Date & Time to customize when exactly you want the message to be sent and click Schedule Send.

Users also have the option to cancel or delete the schedule. Users will be able to find a new folder called Scheduled in both mobile and desktop platforms.

Just open the folder and click on the Cancel Send at the top right corner of the screen, which will move the email to the draft.
