Now Schedule Google Messages To A Custom Date Or Time

Recently, the Google Messages app has added a number of helpful functionality, and now entering the app’s new capabilities is a message scheduling feature.

For some users, the feature has started rolling out and the new Google Messages APK also contains code for this feature, according to a post.

If a user taps and holds on the send button, as per his tweets, a “schedule message” option pops up. Users will choose from three per-set time slots here: 6 pm, 9 pm and 8 am. Instead, they can specify a fully personalized date and time of their choosing. After this, to schedule the post, users need to tap ‘save’.

In the chat, all scheduled messages will be shown with a clock icon next to them and “Scheduled message” written below them. A pop-up that allows you to change its content and schedule will open up by tapping on the scheduled post. It will also provide options to delete or instantly send the scheduled post.

For all apps, the feature has not yet rolled out and still appears to be in its testing process. Google will roll it out over the coming weeks for more users , especially since the latest Google Messages APK, as spotted by XDA Developers, contains code for this feature.

Recently, Google Messages also rolled out a feature for some users that let them sort out messages into different categories. The categories include personal, transactions, OTP (one-time passwords), offers, and more. Users can choose to enable or disable the feature once it has rolled out.
