Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched mAadhaar its new version with more features for both Android and iOS devices.
Users should uninstall the previous version of Aadhaar app and install the new version immediately, according to the UIDAI.
In addition, UIDAI no longer supports third-party applications in the new version. Compared to the previous version, the new mAadhaar application is safer.
The multilingual app supports English and 12 other Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Odia, Urdu, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Punjabi, Marathi, and Assamese.
Users can download Aadhaar card, offline eKYC, lock or unlock their Aadhaar or other bio-metric authentication, order a reprint of aadhaar, update your address in Aadhaar, share password protected QR code and eKYC for paperless verification, verify your email address displayed in Aadhaar card, retrieve UID (Unique Identification) or EID (Enrollment ID), a request for an address validation letter etc.
The new app also helps users to check the status of different online demands that have been received. Any user with or without other whose UIDAI registered telephone numbers can download and use the app on their iOS or Android devices.
The two major sections of mAadhaar app include Aadhaar Services Dashboard and My Aadhaar Section.
Aadhaar online services applicable for each user will be displayed under Aadhaar Services Dashboard and My Aadhaar Section includes the personalized data of the Aadhaar user.
The new version of the app will include data like Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Address and Photograph on mobile phone.
Aadhaar cardholders can add up to 3 profiles to their profile section with the same registered mobile number.
Users can locate enrollment Center online to find the nearest Enrollment Center and avail its services. Aadhaar Card holders can access ‘ Aadhaar Services on SMS, ‘even if there is no network.
The government approved the use of this digital mAadhaar app for all other-based services. The app comes with a 30 seconds valid time-based OTP facility for Aadhaar-based services.
The new version of mAadhaar app is now available for download via the App Store and Play Store.
