Swiggy, India’s fastest growing food ordering and delivery company, is now extending its services beyond food delivery.
Swiggy stores are initially launching its service in Gurugram, Haryana that will allow users to buy groceries, pet food, fresh meat, organic products, flowers, toiletries, baby care products, and much more from more than 3500 stores across the city.
This move would surely make it as a direct competitor to Google’s Dunzo, Amazon India, Flipkart and Big Basket.
The initial partners for Swiggy with about 200 stores include Le Marche, Guardian Pharmacy, Licious, Apollo Pharmacy, Super Needs Market, HealthKart, Zappfresh.com, Ferns n Petals, and more.
The Bengaluru-based startup, run by Bundl Technologies Pvt. Ltd, will provide Swiggy Stores service to users through the Swiggy app itself. The products will be delivered at doorsteps both online and offline in not more than an hour.
Swiggy co-founder and CEO, Sriharsha Majesty said, “Today’s announcement takes Swiggy two categories beyond food, where we hope to deliver the same level of delightful experiences to consumers for their everyday needs.
It is the first milestone in Swiggy’s vision to elevate the quality of life for the urban consumer by offering unparalleled convenience,”The service from the Bangalore- based company will also allow people to discover popular stores around them.
The new service will be accessible on its mobile app and will allow users to order anything in no time.
