The famous Telegram messaging app has carried out a big update that will allow users to upload videos from the profile.
The new update from the messenger service also extended the capacity cap from existing 1.5 GB to 2 GB for sending media files. The video editor features other recent additions, inside the application itself.
The messaging software raises the file size limit to its maximum. Users have been able to upload files of up to 1.5 GB in size since 2014 for images , documents, and other media. Telegram now has the limit raised to 2 GB.
Telegram also took a dig at WhatsApp that has a size limit of 16 MB for any video you share. Nevertheless, the WhatsApp requires users to share up to 100 MB of file size.
With profile videos, you can now add a video to your profile and pick a body you would actually like to be displayed as your chat picture in the static profile. To improve your video quality, you can use the built-in media editor on the Telegram app.
If a user receives too many non-contact messages, the new switch in privacy and security settings can be tried to automatically archive and silence new chats from non-contact people.
Now large group owners with over 500 members can display comprehensive graphs of their operation and development. Group stats also show a list of top leaders by message number and average message length. The features will be available in future for groups with only 100 members.
In addition, Telegram Desktop now supports multiple accounts, similar to the mobile app, which has done so since 2017.
