Telegram Update Brings Search Filters, Anonymous Admins, and Channel Comments

With its latest update, Telegram, the cloud-based messaging app that focuses on privacy, has added new features. Telegram’s messaging app has introduced bundled new features for its users in its latest update, including Search Filters, a Remain Anonymous toggle for group administrators, support for channel feedback, and some cool new animation effects.

Let’s look at all the new bundled features Telegram has introduced.

  • Users of Telegram will now be able to go back to any old message that could use the search filter to have substantial media or links. The search filter on the platform has been further classified into six separate tabs. These include Chats, Media, Links, Files, Music, and Voice Messages to make explicit segregation when searching for some type of content.
  • A new feature called channel comments has also been introduced by Telegram by adding a comment button to posts with discussion groups on channels to make it more social. Users may leave their feedback or react to channels restricted by the administrators in comments. By navigating to Channel Settings > Discussion, users can allow discussions on their own channel.
  • Telegram has extended the anonymous admin functionality that was already available in Channels to Groups. The Anonymous Group Admins function will make the identity of any admin anonymous in a group, and all messages sent by the group admins will be reflected in the group name itself.
  • For Android users, Telegram has also introduced a few animated pop-ups where they can see new animations when deleting messages, saving media, or altering alerts.

The new Telegram update can be downloaded from the Google Play Store link below. Alternatively, from APKMirror, you can download the new APK and sideload it on your computer.
