As per the report, WhatsApp works to enable synchronization of chat history across platforms. This new update will go hand in hand with the multi-device support and will be speculated as a feature inside Linked Devices to arrive.
WhatsApp also allows chat history to be linked while using phone / web client. But now, WhatsApp will also enable the synchronization of chat history in mobile devices.
It also added that WhatsApp is already working on the Android app and WhatsApp for iOS to create an interface for them.
As per the study, to allow its multiple device support function, WhatsApp will start synchronizing the chat history across platforms. Users will be required to have a stable Wi-Fi connection while moving and copying the chats from one device to another.
Once the chats have been copied you can also use WhatsApp on the secondary device. Notice that every message will be sent to all your family devices so your chat history will still be shared across channels, and your encryption key changes when you use or uninstall a app.
If a device has been removed or changed while using multiple device support, then the active chats are notified as changes to the encryption key, similar to the change number option available on WhatsApp, which notifies users when contacts change their number.
WhatsApp today rolled out a week’s Chat Rooms shortcut for the iOS app after making it open to Web users on WhatsApp. The new feature will allow people to talk on video simply by establishing a connection with around 50 people. The link will even allow people to join a call without having a Facebook account.
