On September 10, Microsoft started the rollout of update KB4515384 for devices running the May 2019 Update form 1903, and not long after the release various clients began revealing issues with the Start menu and search, trailed by audio issues with specific games, and now, it creates the impression that the update has a bug influencing network connectivity.
Windows Latest has spotted that clients are given an account of Microsoft’s community forum, Windows 10’s Feedback Hub and social networks that network adapters have stopped working subsequent to applying this update. Affected clients primarily seem to have Intel chipsets and both their Ethernet and WiFi connections are affected.
The Microsoft presently says it has moved back a change that influenced sound and has accused its “sound partners” for the issues,
“Microsoft has received reports that audio in certain games is quieter or different than expected after installing this update. At the request of some of our audio partners, we implemented a compatibility change that enabled certain games to query support and render multi-channel audio,” Microsoft said in a known-issue update on its post for the KB4515384 release.
In the in the meantime, Microsoft has recommended clients utilizing an influenced device with Windows 10, version 1903 installed on it to disable and afterward again re-enable the Wi-Fi adapter in Device Manager. This will enable them to utilize Wi-Fi until the following reboot.
Microsoft and NEC are taking a shot at a resolution and will give an update in an upcoming release.
